About the event
Join us for a relaxed and engaging night exploring poetry together. We’ll kick things off with a few light poem readings from our hosts, Amy Etrheim & Charlie Mortell, along with a brief conversation about rhythm, imagery, metaphors, and where ideas come from.
From there, we’ll ease in with a fun fill in the blanks poem and a short rhyming exercise to get words flowing. The second half of the evening will be dedicated to guided free writing using prompts like “Where I’m From” and other relatable themes, then shaping those words into poem fragments.
Come ready to write, experiment, and leave with a piece of poetry that’s uniquely yours. No experience needed!
